Raw feeding requires strict food safety protocols to prevent pathogens. Make sure to check the PetMD raw food handling safety standards before preparing raw organs or muscle meat.

Understanding the BARF Model

The Biologically Appropriate Raw Food (BARF) diet mirrors a dog’s evolutionary eating habits: 70% muscle meat, 10% raw bone, 10% organ meats, and 10% vegetables/fruits.
